Colorado Supreme Court's Pilot Project: Well-Being Recognition Program for Legal Employers

The Colorado Supreme Court initiated a Pilot Project to consider a Well-Being Recognition Program for Legal Employers.  The report of that Pilot Project has been accepted by the Supreme Court.  That Report has been released, and can be accessed http://coloradolawyerwellbeing.org/final-report/ .   This Report details how and why Colorado has the opportunity to be a national leader in lawyer well-being by creating a first-of-its-kind program to encourage, support, and recognize legal employers for implementing well-being strategies and recommendations within their organizations.

Additionally, the Supreme Court has authorized the formation of an implementation committee to vision and establish the specific components of a future State-Wide Well-Being Recognition Program for Legal Employers.  More details will be provided as this process moves forward.  In the meantime, the Report will be officially released on November 3, 2021 (via Zoom, of course), at 11:30 a.m.

    Gun Owners Helping Gun Owners
In the United States, about one-half of all suicide deaths are due to firearms.  Having a firearm in the home triples the odds of death by suicide.  Guns are the most lethal method of suicide – with a more than 90% efficacy.

If you have a gun in the home, and if you are thinking of suicide, the Colorado Firearm Safety Coalition – a group of gun owners, guns shops, firearms trainers, and public health researchers – will store your firearm(s) for you.  Getting the firearms out of the home can prevent a suicide.
