Darla L. Daniel practices in the areas of estate planning, tax planning, and estate and trust administration. She graduated from Trinity University (B.A., cum laude 1988) and the University of Colorado School of Law (J.D., 2001). At C.U., she served as a Casenote and Comment Editor on the University of Colorado Law Review, and was the recipient of the 2001 Courtland H. Peterson writing award.

Darla is a Colorado native and has worked in the trust and estate field in various capacities for the past 25 years. Most recently she was a Vice President and Trust Officer at Colorado State Bank and Trust, where she worked as a professional fiduciary for 9 years. Prior to that she was in private practice as an estate planning and tax attorney.

She is a past Chair of the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association, and an active member of the Uniform Trust Code and Statutory Revisions subcommittees of the Colorado Bar Association. In addition, she is the Vice Chair of the University of Colorado Law Alumni Board, a past Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado School of Law (Estate Planning, 2009-2011), a past member of the Colorado Lawyer Board of Editors, and a regular presenter of trust and estate related continuing education programs for CLE in Colorado. She is a member of the American, Colorado, and Denver Bar Associations; Denver Estate Planning Council; and a past President of the Women’s Estate Planning Council.
