Estate Planning Attorneys -- please note... Problem this year is a probate case regarding a contested will. See below for Case Problem.

WE HAVE SPOTS LEFT TO FILL! It takes a village to host Mock Trials. Please spread the word... You do not have to be an attorney to serve as a scoring panelist, so friends and family are welcome to sign up. The kids work very hard, and this is a fun volunteer opportunity. Four teams will advance to the CBA's State Tournament.

Volunteer Schedule

Friday, February 21

Round 1 - 12 pm – Volunteer check-in, orientation and courtroom assignments
Round 2 - 3:15 pm – Volunteer check-in, orientation and courtroom assignments

Saturday, February 22

Round 3 - 8 am – Volunteer check-in, orientation and courtroom assignments
Round 4 - 11:45 am - Volunteer check-in, orientation and courtroom assignments

VOLUNTEER ROLES (Confirmations will be emailed prior to tournament)

Scoring Panelist: Three attorneys, paralegals or community members comprise the scoring panel. The score is based on presentation and not on the legal merits of the team's case. A scoresheet is completed.
Courtroom Monitor: This individual normally is a member of the public, employed at the courthouse, or any other volunteer that doesn’t wish to score or judge a round. This is a very important role for a smooth tournament overall.
